Day 1: Hello, Quito!
Welcome to the Andes! After your airport pickup, settle into your cozy hotel and take it easy. Whether it’s a short walk to see the city lights or a quiet dinner, this is your soft landing into Ecuador’s highland charm.

Day 2: Old Town Wonders & Equator Fun
Explore Quito’s storybook Old Town, filled with golden churches and lively plazas. Then head to the Equator—where kids can balance an egg on a nail and everyone gets to stand in two hemispheres at once!

Day 3: Colorful Markets & Crater Lakes
Otavalo’s famous market is a feast for the senses—bright textiles, handmade toys, and friendly artisans. Visit Cotacachi for leather goods, then take a short nature walk around Cuicocha Lake, a sparkling crater surrounded by misty hills.

Day 4: Volcano Views & Village Life
Drive along the Avenue of the Volcanoes, where giants like Cotopaxi and Chimborazo rise above the clouds. Stop at small villages to meet local families, try fresh fruit, and learn about Andean traditions. Overnight in Riobamba.

Day 5: Train Ride & Inca Secrets
Hop aboard the Devil’s Nose train for a thrilling ride through mountain switchbacks, great views and fun for all ages! Then explore Ingapirca, Ecuador’s most important Inca site, where ancient stones whisper stories of the past. Continue to Cuenca.

Day 6: Cuenca’s Colonial Charm
Cuenca is a gentle city with flower-filled parks, riverside paths, and colorful markets. Visit a Panama hat workshop, peek into museums, and enjoy a relaxed day discovering why this city is a UNESCO treasure.

Day 7: Hacienda Visit & Farewell from Guayaquil
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel in Cuenca for a scenic journey to Guayaquil. The route offers a breathtaking transition through diverse ecosystems—from the high-altitude foothills of the Ecuadorian Andes, reaching up to 4,167 meters (13,670 feet), to the lush coastal plains. Along the way, you’ll witness dramatic changes in landscape, from mountain peaks and serene lagoons to tropical lowlands. Then continue to Guayaquil, Ecuador’s vibrant coastal city, for your departure.
- We will arrive in Guayaquil on time for your evening flight departure back to the USA. If you require an additional night overnight in Guayaquil, we will arrange it for you and adjust your tour rate accordingly.
