ITINERARY
Day 1 – Arrival in Quito Gateway to the Andes
Arrive in Quito, greeted by your private guide. Drive into the city with Andean peaks on the horizon. Check into your boutique hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure to relax and acclimate to the Andean altitude.

Day 2 – Quito’s Colonial Treasures & The Middle of the World.
Two Hemispheres, One City
Explore Quito’s UNESCO listed Old Town: Plaza de la Independencia, La Compañía’s golden interior, San Francisco Monastery. From El Panecillo Hill, take sweeping views. Visit the Middle of the World monument and Intiñan Museum for equatorial experiments and cultural insights.

Day 3 – Otavalo Market, Leather Town & Cuicocha Lake

Head to Imbabura Province. Taste bizcochos in Cayambe, see San Pablo Lagoon, shop Otavalo’s vibrant market, visit Cotacachi’s leather workshops, and walk Cuicocha Lake’s crater rim.

Day 4 – Sunrise Over the Andes: Hot Air Balloon
Sunrise Above the Sierra
Pre dawn balloon ride over San Pablo Lake—free flying or tethered—reveals volcanoes and patchwork fields.
- Option 1 – Sunrise Free Flight
Take off from the shores of Lake San Pablo at dawn, soaring 80–100 meters above the water. Watch the first light illuminate Taita Imbabura and Mama Cotacachi, with the Andes stretching endlessly beyond. - Option 2 – Captive Flight: Experience the thrill of a tethered ascent to 20–25 meters, perfect for those who prefer a shorter, anchored ride while still enjoying breathtaking views.
After your flight, savor a traditional highland breakfast. On the return to Quito, stop at the Quitsato Solar Clock, a fascinating open air monument aligned precisely with the Equator.
